The Xbox and Bethesda Games Exhibition offered a number of different announcements, from new IPs like Discount a Contraband to new disclosures for Starfield a Infinite Halo. However, quite a few titles were missing, most notably Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 of Ninja Theory. Fortunately, there will soon be news of the title’s development.
This was confirmed by the developer on Twitter who promised a “behind the scenes update” at the Xbox Games Showcased Extended, which takes place tomorrow at 10 AM PT. While he did not explicitly say that there would be no new gameplay pictures, it is probably better to temper expectations. This is in line with a recent report about a potential intruder to inform supporters that a development is still ongoing.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the first major exclusive to be announced for Xbox Series X / S, having been revealed at The Game Awards 2019. It is also coming to PC although no release window has been provided since the initial announcement. The development changed to Unreal Engine 5 last year and Ninja Theory has been showcasing some interesting effects, such as cloud formation and dissolution.
Tune in tomorrow for a behind-the-scenes update on the development of Saga Senua: Hellblade II.
