Releasing today on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and for the first time ever on Nintendo Switch, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory condenses the near 20-year-old story into a novel rhythm action game for new fans and series veterans alike.
Taking a leaf out of the successful rhythm games of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest comes Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. Complete with over 20 playable characters from the franchise and over 140 musical track ranging from the first Kingdom Hearts game in 2002 right up to the present with 2019’s Kingdom Hearts III. But it also brings in all the spinoff games such as Kingdom Hearts X, Birth by Sleep, Chain of Memories and more.
Melody of Memory acts as a retelling of the series so far, to get newcomers upto speed, but also act as a love letter for veterans to enjoy as well. Narrated by fan favourite Kairi, don’t go thinking that this is simply retreading old ground through; in true Kingdom Hearts style, expect there to be some crucial new plot developments to uncover and set the scene for future instalments.
