The Overwatch The League Finals are coming up and while many are undoubtedly excited to know who will win (or lose), others are probably expecting some updates on Overwatch 2. Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that it will have new updates on the PvP aspects of the title on September 25th at 5 PM PT. These include Bastion’s new look, along with the work done for him and Sombra.
There will also be a Demonstration Game and according to OWL VP Jon Spector, pro players will be participating. These will include teams that were knocked out of the playoffs as “this does not distract their competition.” So if you’ve always wanted to see how the new rules work at the highest level, it might be worth tuning in.
Next season of Overwatch The Alliance will start in April 2022 and is confirmed to be running on an early build of Overwatch 2. When it will be available to the public, with or without PvE content and a new story, remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

Just to address one of the questions I’ve seen pop up – the pro player exhibition will feature players in Hawaii for our playoffs. We set up for those teams to play best after they were pulled out of playoffs (so this doesn’t distract their competition).
