Lots of gameplay and detailed stories above God of War: Ragnarok appeared days after Sony’s official launch, and as part of the game we learned a lot of interesting things about warfare. Director Eric Williams has a lot to say about how Ragnarok there will be more emphasis on the player being exposed to options through multiple choices in combat and progression, and something else will be rolled down into a variety of gear types.
In a recent interview with Jon Ford (which you can see below), when asked about the different types of shields we saw Kratos use in the trailer, Williams confirmed that there will always be other different shields in God of War: Ragnarok, each with their own defense characteristics and properties, before the addition of enemies and battle battles will be designed in a way that will encourage players to experiment with different types of gear and qualify in certain situations.
“I don’t want to go too deep into it, but of course, defenses are different, and they have different defensive options and qualifications,” William said. “The reason we’re doing this is we want to open up clear options in how you build your Kratos, like tools and cargo and things like that. And all the way down to protection , you can kind of play a little bit different. And then the enemy knows how to react to that, or force you into these different situations that require you to use different things. And I think that would be fun for players to test that. But we also need to show more, which is your choice when you set up. “
In another recent interview, Williams also confirmed that the war on God of War: Ragnarok It will bring back some machines and combinations from the series of Greek era games that Santa Monica Studio was unable to perform in the 2018 title. Read more on that here.
