Kirby is back in a brand-new, fully 3D adventure, exploring mysterious structures from a past civilization and battling all kinds of foes.
As recently leaked by Japanese website Nintendo, a new website Kirby title is on the way. It’s called Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and releases in the Spring of 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Everyone’s favorite pink puffball is back and this time, it explores secluded structures of past civilization, full of mystery. Check it out in the first trailer below.
The trailer seems to indicate an open world structure, if nothing like it Super Mario Odyssey. Kirby can move around freely in 3D areas, using familiar abilities like hovering and battling all sorts of enemies. He is still able to eat and absorb various powers including the Sword. At the end, we see a giant gorilla-esque boss that has to be dealt with.
All in all, this is a pretty big return for the hero and looks to be an attractive new staging adventure, even for those who aren’tKirby fans. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
