Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show 2021 show was mostly full of old ways for the first title releases. However, a new title from manufacturer Hiroaki Kato (Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age) and director Hiroyuki Ito (the creator Final Fantasy’s Simple Time Critical System) was announced. It is invited Prison Meetings and released on October 14th for Japan.
The title is a dungeon-crawling RPG where players have to explore deeply, face enemies and team up with friends. Entertainment is a “simple game design” with nondescript environments, depicting battles between one party and enemies through visual artists. The goal is to “think” for oneself but more detail is needed to know what it really is.
Prison Meetings opens October 14th for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Japan (English release date has not been announced). Pre-orders are now available and offer a 20 percent discount until October 28th, though you’ll need the PlayStation Plus on PS4 to use the same. Stay tuned for more details now.
