Heart Machine has announced a delay for its upcoming action adventure title Solar Ashes. It was originally due to release on October 26th but will now launch on December 2nd. In a new tweet, the developer said he wanted the game to shine and “we need a little more time to get the last bits of glossy and faulty repairs into the game.” Of course, he wants to do this while still feeling the effects of the pandemic, and that’s the delay.
Heart Machine is well known for Hyper Light Drifter, sci-fi Zelda-like title with stunning pixel art. Solar Ash is a very big departure from this, being in full 3D and emphasizing movement and staging. The story follows Rei, a Voidrunner who ventures to the Ultravoid to possibly save her planet. She encounters various surreal events and the remnants of crumbling civilizations on top of battling high Sentinels.
Solar Ashes coming to PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. It will benefit from the PS5 DualSense controller, though the developer has yet to go into too much detail. Stay tuned for more details on the title en route to its new release date.
