Ubisoft has been expanding its live service catalog quite a bit, announcing free play titles XDefiant Tom Clancy a Ghost Recon Frontline (with responses ranging from mixed to negative). However, before the two, he confirmed that there was an online live service platform called Assassin’s Creed Infinity was in the works. Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec are working together to develop it and rumors indicate it is at least three years away from release.

But how exactly will it be Infinity be structured? According to Reddit user Smooth-Earth2875, it is in the early stages of conceptualization and development but “in a sufficiently solid state that I can confidently describe what shape the game will take.” It was probably inspired by the Helix of Assassin’s Creed Unity. The different entries will be small and linear but will include semi-open world environments similar to Hitman’s sandbox levels with each dedicated to a single assassin.

Their story will play out over several missions, and the publisher probably wants to “remake and repeat” the stories from older titles within Infinity (although it is “still too early, decide which, if any, older games will be repeated”). It also looks like a brand new story will be added but at cost and over time. Also, despite Ubisoft installing so many resources at Infinity, there will be an open world Assassin’s Creed titles developed during the same period.

Given the anonymity of the source, much (if not all) of this could be false. However, a Reddit mod noted although the information provided may be counterfeit, “it would take some time and effort that we do not see most emitters trying.” So while I do not confirm the accuracy of the job (because remember that development can change over time ), the mod said, “I will confirm that the OP has shown us sufficient evidence that we will be more comfortable in believing this one to be credible. Instead of a fake OUTRIGHT or other. There is some merit, it seems . ”

Time will tell just how much of this is real, how much it makes in the final product and how Ubisoft intends to monetize it. So take things with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more details in the coming years.
