Destroy All Men! fans have had plenty to be happy about of late, with last year’s solid remake of the original followed by the announcement of the successor’s remix with Destroy All Men! 2: Re-paint. THQ Nordic and developer Black Forest Games surprised many with the announcement that the game would not be a cross-gen release, and have since explained why it is going to omit the PS4 and Xbox One. But it’s still coming to PC, of course, and with the imminent launch of Steam Deck Valve, questions about optimizing the device for the PC version of upcoming games are frequently asked.
Place Destroy All Men! 2: Re-paint worryingly, the Black Forest Games definitely has an eye on the Steam Deck. Speaking to GamingBolt in a recent interview, technical director Johan Conradie and assistant creative director Stefan Schmitz confirmed that Black Forest Games will “definitely check the game on the Steam Deck” to make sure it runs well on the device.
“We will definitely be checking the game on the Steam Deck to make sure we hit an acceptable quality bar there,” said the developers. “It’s an exciting piece of technology that makes our work more accessible to a wider audience in a more accessible way.”
Destroy All Men! 2: Re-paint due for the PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC some time in 2022. You can read our full interview with the developers here.
