Page 1 of 16 games are always prone to delays, but that has been more true than ever in the past few years. The pandemic has forced working conditions that are not quite ideal for game development, and as a result, it looks like we’re seeing announcements for big games being pushed back every other week . That’s probably not going to change anytime soon.

Here we talk about fifteen major upcoming games that have a good chance of being hit by a delay at some point in 2022. They may be internal delays for games that have no official announcements that we hear of leaks , or they may be officially announced; they could be smaller delays, or significantly longer – either way, we wouldn’t be surprised by any of these.

God of War: Ragnarok it was originally delayed once, after initially being announced with a 2021 launch window that, honestly, was never going to hit anyway. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see the game slip back even further. Sony has repeatedly shown that it is not afraid to push back even its larger tent releases if those games need extra development time (as evidenced by Holiday 2021 being left remarkably empty with Horizon’s delay), and for a game as ambitious as this one, delays do not seem entirely plausible.
