With Controls AWE expansion brings the Alan Wake universe into the fold and Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games release Alan Wake Remastered earlier this year, there has been much talk about the future of the cult’s classic horror properties lately. Rumors have strongly suggested that Remedy is indeed working on Alan Wake 2, fully funded by Epic Games, and with the game apparently set to go into full production earlier this year, many are wondering when – if it exists – it will be published.
Well, it might be announced pretty soon. On a recent episode of Nate the Hate’s in-house podcast, journalist Jeff Grubb speculated Alan Wake 2 it could be announced in The Game Awards tomorrow. Nate the Hate itself followed up on that with a very confident statement that that’s going to happen, with Epic Games and Remedy Entertainment wanting to build up hype around the property and the progression in development.
Even beyond this potential announcement, The Game Awards 2021 is already looking crowded. Reveals for the next Sonic game, Steelrising, Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment’s next game, and the Hello TV series have already been confirmed, but it is possible Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 he could receive a trailer as well.
