To avoid any server congestions over the Holiday period, Nintendo says setting up consoles ahead of that will probably be the smart thing to do.
With the Holiday season already here, it’s no surprise that many people will be getting Nintendo Switch consoles as gifts in the coming weeks. Before that, Nintendo has advised fans in a recent Japanese Twitter post to set up consoles before Christmas to avoid any hassle.
Of course, it’s no secret that tons of people log in to Nintendo’s console and eShop servers at Christmas, and as such, it would be unlikely if the servers went down for extended periods of time – which, incidentally, says Nintendo is largely a possibility. As such, it’s best to set up the console and buy or download any games you want before any such break occurs.
Nintendo also followed up with a link with detailed instructions on how to set up the console. Interestingly, Xbox H Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” has also advised the same for future Xbox owners, also via a recent Twitter post.
2021 has been a fruitful year for Nintendo, with its revised OLED Switch model and stellar exclusive as Metroid Dread drive sales Change a lifetime to an impressive 92 million mark, and counting.
