The game’s developer says they will monitor how the game does and gauge about DLC down the line.
Early next year, we will revisit the world of ELEX. The series will take us back to the sci-fi/fantasy hybrid world with a bigger and more terrifying story to tell. The first game was also filled to the brim with content, as the style is typical in RPGs, and it looks like the second game will be the same. There will also be something similar to the original title, apparently nothing was scheduled after the launch.
In an interview with Twinifinite, The Piranha Bytes developer was asked about the potential DLC for the game. There they gave a firm answer, saying that they are not fans of the DLC and that it is more for people who feel like the game they get when they buy the main game is complete. As such, they said no fees were planned after the launch. However, they gave it the opportunity to open it, saying they would monitor its success and how the fan responds for additional help.
“Actually, we don’t like DLCs. We think, if people buy our game, they should get everything we planned to put into it. So there’s nothing new. payment is planned for ELEX 2 after the launch. Yes, we will take a closer look at how the game will be received by the audience and will be supported. We want to give our creative energy to another project soon. ”
ELEX 2 will be launched on March 1st 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. We had our own interview with the developers about the different elements of the game, which you can read in full here.
