Rumours about a Metroid Prime 1 remaster have refused to die down, and apparently, it’s going to launch later this year.
Metroid fans were treated to a long-awaited revival of the series with the groundbreaking Metroid Horror in 2021. Now that the 2D saga of the series has returned to its form, it’s time for the Chief a line of games to make a similar comeback. And while Metroid Prime 4 which, of course, is in the works right now, it looks like there might be more to look forward to beyond that.
Rumors of a standalone Metroid Prime 1 A remaster – purportedly a fairly ambitious project to be announced in 2022 – has been making the rounds for some time now, and we have more of that here. Known Nintendo leaker NateTheHate recently said in a video that the remaster will launch in the second half of 2022, to coincide with the original Metroid Prime’s In its 20th anniversary, Nintendo may set the game as a major Switch launch for the end-of-year period.
Of course, it is never easy to be sure of any unconfirmed leaks or reports where Nintendo has it confirmed, and Metroid fans in particular have been burned by leaks more than a few times in recent years – so for now, take this with a pinch of salt.
