After a long and arduous wait full of prolonged silence on the part of the developer, Techland’s Dying Light 2 Staying Human finally releasing next month. Less than a month before its release, the developers have released a new gameplay trailer that also highlights some details of the game’s story, alongside the final episode of its series, Dying 2 Know.
The gameplay trailer reveals how main character Aiden Caldwell’s sister was abducted when the siblings were young. During the trailer, we get to see Aiden meet several people and take part in all sorts of activities to find out more about his sister’s whereabouts, as he rips and teases through flocks of zombies and enemy soldiers alike. Check it out below for more information on the issue.
Meanwhile, in the final episode of Dying 2 Know, we get to see a few Dying Light 2 Staying HumanCo-op’s gameplay is in place, as up to 4 players jump around the huge cityscape and try to take on the most lethal of zombies using a variety of melee weapons. It was also mentioned that players will have a voting mechanic for making narrative choices in the co-op, although the final choice is the responsibility of the host of the game.
We also got a glimpse of how the game console versions (namely PS4, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, and PS5) perform. Any subtle visual improvements are difficult to spot due to YouTube’s compression artefact, but the game looks and performs great on all systems, which is unsurprising, given that it was built using end-gen consoles like the lead platforms. Fans can also expect to see more graphic comparisons by the end of the month as well, so keep an eye out for that.
