Skull and Bones on PC Supports 4K HDR and Ray Tracing, Anti-Cheat Measures Revealed

Along with detailed exploration in Skull and Bonesfrom hunting to treasure to the physics of its waves, Ubisoft has revealed the PC specifications for the upcoming naval title. It confirmed support for 4K resolution, high dynamic range lighting (HDR) and ray tracing, along with image upscaling technologies like DLSS and FSR. Furthermore, one can change input settings for a “close-to-perfect” experience.

In terms of system requirements, 1080p/30 FPS at Low settings requires an Intel Core-i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, a GTX 1060 (6GB) or an RX 570 (4GB), and 8 GB DDR4 RAM. For 1080p/60 FPS at High settings, you’ll need a Core-i7 8700K or Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 2070 or RX 5700XT and 16 GB of RAM. To play in 1440p/60 FPS at High settings, a Core-i7 9700K or Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 3070 (8GB) or RX 6800 (16GB) is needed with 16 GB RAM.

For Ultra settings at 4K/60 FPS with DLSS/FSR set to “Balanced,” you’ll need a Core-i5 11600K or Ryzen 5 5600X, an RTX 3080 or RX 6800XT, and 16 GB of RAM. In all of the above cases, 65 GB of installation space is needed on a solid state drive.

Players will be matched based on Infamy and PvP preference, and one can report or block them for “disruptive behavior.” Dedicated servers are also confirmed for North and South America, South Africa, Oceania, Asia, and Europe. In terms of anti-cheat, BattlEye and VMProtect are used. Anyone caught cheating is permanently banned on the first offence.
