Assassin’s Creed Codename RED is Facing Development Issues – Rumour

0 6

Ubisoft revealed a host of new Assassin’s Creed games earlier this year, offering a glimpse of what the future holds for the franchise over the next few years. Although the scale is relatively smaller Mirage Assassin’s Creed will be announced next year (reportedly in August), the next big evolution for the franchise won’t come until Codename Assassin’s Creed RED a HEXE code name Arrive and kick off the series’ Infinity period.

Now, new details may have emerged on how their development is progressing – and it seems like a bit of a mixed bag. In a report published on Internal Gamingjournalist Tom Henderson has said so Codename Assassin’s Creed RED (developed by Ubisoft Quebec) faced behind-the-scenes development issues, including several departures from the studio (in part due to widespread allegations of abuse).

At the same time, Henderson claims HEXE code name (developed by Ubisoft Montreal) was “received with overwhelming positivity” during its proof-of-concept stages, and may even be on the verge of entering full production soon.

So what exactly does that mean for the launch time of both games? Previous leaks have claimed that Codename Assassin’s Creed RED is targeting a 2024 launch, while HEXE code name tentatively aiming for release in 2026. With RED’s development issues, however, there is a chance that the game will eventually be pushed back to 2025.

Of course, none of this has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft, which means there isn’t much concrete information about what the company has planned for either project. We will keep an eye out for more details, so stay tuned for further updates.
