Xbox Series X/S users can now pre-load Avalanche Software’s upcoming open world action RPG ahead of its launch in February.
The wait for The legacy of Hogwarts has been a long one, and one which, unfortunately, has been marred by surrounding debates Harry Potter author JK Rowling and her transphobia. Nevertheless, with the game not far away from launch now, there will be many who will be eagerly anticipating its release. Before that, it is now also available for pre-loading.
Well, not on all platforms. Xbox Series X/S users can pre-load the game now in preparation for its release just over a few weeks from now. There’s no word yet on when PS5 or PC players will be able to do the same, but it probably won’t be too long. Meanwhile, with last gen consoles not getting the game until April, it’s clear that preload hasn’t been unlocked for them, and won’t be for a while.
Hogwarts Legacy’s revealed an official art book recently, revealing plenty of new details about the game, such as its length, or the fact that it won’t let players enter the Chamber of Secrets to keep up with the legends of the series.
The legacy of Hogwarts launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 10. On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it will allow players to choose between Performance and Quality modes. You can check its PC requirements through here.
The game will release for PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, and for Nintendo Switch on July 25.
