PC players who own the game on Steam can participate in the beta, which includes the base game’s roster and all DLC characters.
Originally planned to start this month, SNK’s rollback open beta for Samurai Shodown will be from February 10th to 17th (JST) on PC via Steam. Everyone, including DLC fighters, can play, and all players are eligible to participate.
Rollback netcode will come to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PC players (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) in the future. The platform weapon was launched in June 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One and headed to Stadia in November and Nintendo Switch in December. It will finally arrive for PC in 2020 on the Epic Games Store but won’t be available on Steam until a year later.
You can check out our review of the game here. Many new characters have been added through DLC over the years, including visitors like Baiken from Guilty Gear and Hibiki Takane The Last Tree 2. Stay tuned for more information on rollback netcode next month.
The Steam rollback community beta test will run from Feb 10th to 17th (JST)!
