Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Features a Playable Samurai and Shinobi, Targeting Fall 2024 – Rumor
Ubisoft has not provided any new details on Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, his next mainline title in the franchise. Although development issues were reported in December, it is apparently in good shape and will have two main playable characters, according to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. An update has since been providedrevealing that the characters are Samurai and Shinobi.
It’s unknown how they’ll play, but the teaser that Ubisoft revealed apparently featured the Samurai, who is female. The Shinobi is rumored to be a refugee from Africa who has accepted the Creed, which fits well with the project’s rumored focus on stealth. Apparently developer Ubisoft Quebec is taking a Hitman or Splinter Cell-style style of gameplay.
You can hide in tall grass, hide bodies and turn off lights to hide your shadows. Although the game is internally targeting a Fall 2024 launch, it may be a while before it is revealed. Insider Gaming reported that Ubisoft is focusing on the first performance of gameplay from Mirage Assassin’s Creed and publication of Assassin’s Creed Nexus, a VR title.
