Bethesda Game Studios is still preparing to showcase more gameplay from Starfield in June with a single Direct. However, the first score for the sci-fi RPG is already in, courtesy of the Australian Classification Board. It received an R18+ Restricted rating due to “High Impact” Drug Use.
Other categories, such as Themes and Language, received a “Moderate Impact” rating, while Nudity was “Very Little.” Next to Drug Use, Violence was the second strongest part of the classification, earning a “Strong Impact” rating. Considering how violent Fallout 3 a 4, a The Scrolls of the Elder series can be, it is understandable. How does that play out in Starfield remains to be seen.
Starfield launches on September 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It can also be played on day one on Game Pass. The to come Starfield Direct is set for June 11th and offers a deep dive into the title, with director Todd Howard saying, “There’s still so much we have to show you.
“The game has many of the features you’d expect from us, but it’s also a very unique experience.” Stay tuned in the coming months for more details and gameplay.
