In the newest chapter of the investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Sony has released a response.
In a statement to the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, Sony said that it believes that Microsoft is ahead of Sony with its Xbox Game Pass service compared to PlayStation Plus.
In the statement, Sony revealed that “there is no doubt that Game Pass is far ahead of PlayStation Plus” when it comes to market share. Sony made the concession as part of the dispute over Microsoft’s pressure to raise the price of Call of duty if its acquisition of Activision Blizzard is to be done.
Sony also said it would prompt Microsoft to damage future PlayStation ads as well. Call of duty, and make games available only through Game Pass. Microsoft will also be encouraged to do so Call of duty access to PlayStation Plus at a “commercial price that cannot be used, and thus makes it special”, according to Sony.
The approval came in a recent answer given by Sony to the CMA, along with the answers given by Microsoft about its investigation trying to acquire Activision Blizzard.
Sony also gave answers and confirmed that “there is no doubt that Game Pass is far ahead of PlayStation Plus” in terms of shares and again stated that Microsoft could have incentives to raise the price of the CoD, damage CoD on PS compared to Xbox, and use CoD only in space.
