In a couple of days, the PlayStation Showcase will kick off this year’s summer season of major gaming events and announcements, with programs such as Xbox Games Showcase, Ubisoft Forward, and many more set to follow over the next few days. Of course, Summer Game Fest is also coming back with another live show on June 8, and it looks like it’s going to be a big one.

Earlier this month, the full list of partners for this year’s event was revealed, including over 40 partners in a list that includes the likes of PlayStation, Xbox, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, CD Projekt RED, and many more. But can we expect one announcement about stealing a show at this year’s event as well, as we had The Last of Us Part 1 last year and The Ring of the Elder the year before that?

According to producer and host Geoff Keighley, we may get more than one of those, interestingly enough. Speaking in a recent interview published on the Epic Games websitewhen asked if Summer Game Fest had similar announcements up its sleeve, Keighley said this year’s show is set to have three or four things that will be “pretty big for this audience.”

Meanwhile, Keighley has also confirmed that the 2023 Summer Game Festival will last around two hours, roughly how long last year’s exhibition was too.
