Following the extremely surprising announcement of Counter-Strike 2Issue valve Official FAQ for her limited trial, which began recently. Although it’s only available to select players, the developer revealed that more will be added over time (with invites appearing in the main menu for Counter Strike: Global Offensive).
The limited test offers Deathmatch and Unranked Competitive on just one map – Dust2 – but more modes, maps and features are coming in later releases. Workshop maps and community servers are currently unavailable, and you cannot play with or against CS: GO players. Any XP earned from the limited test carries over into CS: GO.
While your inventory of CS: GO carries over into Counter-Strike 2, you cannot modify any items within the latter. Stickers and Trade Up Contracts can only be placed or scratched in the world CS: GO (which then carries over to the limited test).
Finally, if your account has VAC or in-game bans CS: GO, you can’t play Counter-Strike 2 on VAC protected servers. Which means you can’t play the limited trial.
Counter-Strike 2 out in the Summer for PC. Stay tuned for further details in the meantime.
