For the fourth week running, Nintendo’s upcoming colourful shooter has topped Famitsu’s most wanted charts, with Final Fantasy 16 settling for second place.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles on Switch also topped physical software sales on its debut with 90,885 units sold.

Square Enix’s upcoming RPG has topped the weekly charts yet again, maintaining a healthy lead over Splatoon 3, the game placed second.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch Sports topped the software charts, while the rest of the games in the top 10 were all also Switch titles.

The duo of remakes has topped the Japanese software charts for the third week running, with the Switch dominating the hardware side of things.

In a largely Switch dominated top 10, the two games that topped last week’s charts rank high in this week’s charts as well.

Nintendo’s console lead in unit sales for the month and year-to-date but the PlayStation 5 topped both in terms of dollar sales.
